Mountain Valor Foundation, established concurrently with Mountain Valor Research, is dedicated to making an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of wounded veterans and first responders. Through our programs, we provide transformative experiences in the scenic landscapes of Colorado. Our initiatives not only offer recess from everyday life but also aim to heighten awareness about the disproportionately high rates of PTSD and suicide within the community.
Mountain Valor Foundations principles are simple:
We are committed to helping veterans at a scale that most non-profits cannot achieve. Our leadership draws on executive military and corporate leadership experience that have built teams and organizations at a large scale. We wanted to create an organization poised for growth that was based upon creating truly unique experiences on our various privately owned land that can bring wounded veterans back together years after war.
Our commitment to financial and organizational transparency goes many steps beyond what is required. We believe the complete transparency of a non-profit is the difference between success and failure. All donations under $1,000 will be provided detailed updates on how the donations directly contributed to each retreat and what was paid for. Any donation over $1,000 will be provided a detailed financial breakdown on exactly how the money is being allocated on a per veteran basis. In addition, our leadership team will meet with anyone with questions on how our organization operates and any information that is requested.
Absolutely. You can choose to name a specific individual or a number of veterans to sponsor by emailing info@mountainvalor.org
Both organizations are founded by our CEO Zack Kelemen. Mountain Valor Research is a seperate non-profit focused on the first longitudinal studies with combat veterans to develop the first targeted PTSD treatments. Both missions aim to raise awareness of PTSD and help wounded veterans in different ways.
Anyone can email info@mountainvalor.org. We are an open book and happy to share any information.
